Germany-Senior Postdoc Position (Munich)

The Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry in Munich will host a “Max-Planck-Fellow” group “Molecular Psychopharmacology” with Prof. Rainer Rupprecht, Department of Psychiatry, Ludwig-Maximilian-University Munich as a “Max-Planck-Fellow”.
Within this fellow programme a senior postdoc position (limitation for the time berry 2 years, an extension of the contract for another period of 2-3 years is planned) will be available from July 1, 2007. This group will work in close collaboration with other research groups at the Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry (RG Rein, RG Zieglg?nsberger, RG Uhr). A PHD student and a technician will also be part of the fellow group.
The interdisciplinary research endeavours will involve delineating novel mechanisms of action of psychopharmacological drugs, e.g. antidepressants, such as modulation of neuronal excitability, novel mechanisms of signal transduction, impact on neurogenesis, proteomic analysis of lipid rafts etc.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and bases upon the German TV?D scale.
