GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, position number 0000GA11, Public Health, (Manoa), 0.50 FTE, Office of Public Health Studies, DPHS, Healthy Hawaii Initiative - Evaluation of the Food Stamp Nutrition Education Network Project, 11-month, 0.25 FTE, to begin approximately 10/20/2008 pending position clearance and availability of funds. Duties: Assist the Principal Investigator and program staff with the evaluation of the Hawaii Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program; assist with field work, program implementation, validation of materials, data entry, report writing; compile, edit, and code community evaluation measures; conduct literature reviews and write abstracts; work with community grantees; attend staff and project meetings; and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications: Classified graduate student; knowledge of community health; excellent computer skills; knowledge of Excel and MS Word; strong oral and written communication skills; must be responsible, dependable, and efficient. Desirable qualifications: Knowledge of statistics and/or SPSS. Classified Public Health Student. Pay range: $8,088 (GRA-2 @ 0.25 FTE); tuition exemption for Fall 2008 semester.
