Graduate Research Assistant(s), position number 00GA11, School of Hawaiian Knowledge, (Manoa), non-tenure track, .50 FTE, Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language (Manoa, temporary, non-tenure track, .50 FTE, 11-months to begin Fall 2008 and Spring 2009, contingent on availability of funds. Duties: Assist faculty members in research projects related to Hawaiian language and culture, perform research duties, collection and recording of data, report drafting, and translation. Minimum qualifications: B.A. in Hawaiian Language, and/or written and oral fluency appropriate for independent research work and collaboration; admitted full-time at the University of Hawai?i in a graduate degree program at the time of hire. Desirable qualifications: Experience in Hawaiian-language research and familiarity with the existing Hawaiian-language repositories, working knowledge of computer-related programs and website design, grade point average above 3.50. Pay range: $1296.00 per month plus tuition waiver.
