Graduate Research Opportunities at St Vincent’s

The Department of Medicine undertakes research in pre-clinical, clinical and population science. The unifying theme of our research is Diabetes, focusing on metabolic medicine as it applies to renal and cardiovascular disease.

The ultimate goal for our research is to improve the treatment of human disease. The department has exciting graduate research training in the areas of Rheumatology, Haematology, Endocrinology, Clinical Neurosciences, Nephrology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Clinical Pharmacology and Cardiology. We produce outstanding research in basic science, clinical medicine and population health, through the strength of our relationship with St Vincent’s Hospital and St Vincent’s Institute.

We value our graduate research students and have an excellent supervisory and support program. We provide access to University, Faculty and Department Scholarships, Travel Grants, exciting Research Seminar series and social activities through our Student Society. The department provide high quality laboratory and computing facilities, as well as a range of specialised research equipment.

Please email for further information on our Postgraduate Scholarships valued at $5000 each and payable for three years study.

Graduate research students enrolling through the Department of Medicine can also apply for $10,000 through the John Hayden Research Scholarship and the Carl de Gruchy Postgraduate Scholarship.

I have done my BS(Hons) from M.A.J University Islamabad Pakistan with the CGPA of 3.2 .
