The SCG (Structural & Construction Engineering Group) at the Department of Architectural Engineering, Kyung Hee Unversity is offering scholarship for graduate students (master and PhD). Scholarships are offered to South Korean students in the field of Structural Engineering and Construction Technology for the Fall semester, 2016 and Spring semester, 2017.

Kyung Hee University is a private, research university encompassing an educational system from kindergarten to graduate school with campuses in Seoul, Suwon, and Gwangneung South Korea.

Eligibility:

  • Students must demonstrate the knowledge in courses including the reinforced concrete structure and steel structure of undergraduate level.
  • Skills in the structural analysis of the structure using a computer are also strongly recommended.
  • Students are required to write English paper to graduate.

Nationality: Applicants from South Korea eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents:
  • Academic Curriculum Vitae
  • Statement of purpose
  • Scanned copy of certificates, transcripts, and documents that indicate qualifications and related awards if applicable.
  • Entrance Requirement:
  • At least 24-course units of graduate-level credit in Architectural Engineering courses are required for the master’s degree, 60-course units for doctor’s degree (including units completed in the master course).
  • Students have to pass a qualifying examination.
  • Students must fulfil presentation, defence, and document requirements in the AE thesis committee.
  • A thesis advisor can be any faculty member from the Department of Architectural Engineering.
