Gus Martin Memorial Postgraduate Scholarships in Ireland, 2018

The School of English, Drama and Film, UCD is inviting applications for Gus Martin Memorial Postgraduate Scholarship in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama. The scholarship will provide full tuition (international fee) to a graduate of a North American college/university to pursue postgraduate (MA) programme in September 2018-August 2019.

The UCD School of English, Drama and Film is the largest and most diverse School in the UCD College of Arts and Humanities.

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: May 14, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate (MA) programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama.
  • Scholarship Award: The scholarship will provide full tuition (international fee).

  • Scholarship can be taken in Ireland

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: Graduates of a North American college/university (US or Canada) are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: For the application, applicants must have completed a Bachelors programme to high honours level in a North American university (US or Canada), by date of application.
    Applicants must, prior to application for the scholarship, have applied to and been accepted to the MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama.
  • English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Application Procedure:

The application must include:

  • A personal statement (1-2 pages) indicating suitability for the bursary award;
  • A full Curriculum Vitae;
  • A sample of recent academic writing in English (max 3,000 words).
  • Notice of offered place to the MA in Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama, UCD;
  • The nomination of two referees by the applicant. Written references by the nominated referees are to be submitted separately to Professor Margaret Kelleher (email as below) by the closing date for application
