Sustainability Science Fellowships, Harvard University: The Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University’s Center for International Development offers doctoral, post-doctoral, and mid-career fellowships in Sustainability Science. The fellowships are tenable at the Center for International Development during Harvard’s academic year beginning in September 2009. Fellowships are available for 10 months (September 2009-May 2010), 12 months (September 2009-August 2010), the fall semester (September-December 2009), or the spring semester (February-May 2010).
The Sustainability Science Program at Harvard’s Center for International Development seeks to facilitate the design, implementation, and evaluation of effective interventions that promote sustainable development. To that end, we seek to advance scientific understanding of human-environment systems; to improve linkages between relevant research and innovation communities on the one hand, and relevant policy and management communities on the other; and, more broadly, to build capacity for linking knowledge with action to promote sustainability. I am Hanan Ahmad Yahya, of age 19 years. I was born on: 26/12/1988 in Rabwah-Pakistan.
My parents are missionary doctors, so i had my entire education in Ghana up to the Senior Secondary Level.
After successfully completing the Secondary school, i decided to further my university education abroad.
Fortunately,i had a university to make my dream turn into reality.
I have special interest in medicine and surgery.But I read that in USA or Canada, one has to complete his first degree before he can get into the medical field.
On some occasions, i have served voluntary services to patients in Ghana during free medical camps.And even observed a few surgical operations in the theater like; hernia, prostrate and appendix. Hence,this boosted my morale and gave my courage to offer medicine as a profession.
I also have interest in cardio-surgery and neurosurgery. I am also a simple person.I think that is all about me, not forgetting a good sports man as well.
Hence, I would need your assistance, guidance and help to fulfill my desire and ambition.
If there is any scholarship which I can get to fund my education, I would be very much grateful.
