HCL Work Integrated Learning Scholarship

The donor company wishes to provide a WIL experience that will include 3 to 4 months in India comprising of approximately 2 months intensive college-based training and exposure to various IT methodologies, and 2 months of relevant practical experience, and then support a further 12 months WIL experience on their return to Australia.
During the 3 to 4 months overseas placement, students will receive travel and accommodation reimbursement of relevant expenses. The company will pay additionally $1,000 per scholarship holder per month whilst they are on overseas training. Upon returning to complete the scholarship the student will receive a tax free scholarship of $34,000p.a. The total value of this scholarship is estimated to be $50,000. This amount does not take into account the intrinsic value of such a valuable learning and life experience.
These scholarships are aimed at providing a high quality WIL experience with a post graduate component providing appropriate academic and industry learning experiences that has rarely been offered before. The outcome of these scholarships is to create within Australia a more highly skilled group of graduates that can better serve local industry needs.
Conditions
1. Students must have Australian Citizenship and/or Permanent residential Status.
2. Be completing their undergraduate studies on or before July 2008.
3. Have or be prepared to get a current Australian (or other) passport.
4. Have gained appropriate academic results, at least a credit level average.
5. Be able to work as a team member and show appropriate attributes relating to social skills, communication and motivation.
6. Applicants must be available to attend a selection process in Melbourne or Sydney on dates and times and at venues to be nominated.

Let me introduce you myself first. My name is Birhanu Desalegn Mihretie who graduated from Jimma University Faculty of law, Ethiopia in LL.B (first degree in law) on 05 July 2007. Now I am working & giving the public service in the Ministry of Transport & Communications as a legal expert starting from December 11 2007 to date. My responsibilities among others is; drafting laws & contract documents, giving consultancy service to the ministry works, representing the ministry when it is sued & sues,& conducting various legal researches concerning the institution. To deliver & perform my responsibility fully to the rate that my country expected & to participate in the development endeavors of my country by making myself part of the solution I need further education.
