High Achiever Foundation Prize for African Students in UK, 2017

The is inviting applications for high achiever foundation prizes available for African students.  5 scholarships of £2,000 each towards tuition fees to students from Africa*, registering on our Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate.

The aim of the scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from Africa.

The University of Nottingham is a public research university based in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. It was founded as University College Nottingham in 1881 and was granted a Royal Charter in 1948

Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: Prizes are available for pursuing foundation courses at University of Nottingham.

Study Subject(s): Prizes are awarded in the areas of Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate.

Scholarship Award: 5 scholarships of £2,000 each towards tuition fees to students from Africa*, registering on our Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate.

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility: Applicants can apply for this high achiever prize if you:

  • are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) an African country
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
  • already hold an offer to start on the Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Certificate at Nottingham in September 2017. They must have gone firm on that offer by 21 April 2017.
  • *3 of these scholarships will be reserved for students from Kenya or Nigeria

Nationality: Students of Africa (Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Western Sahara, Zambia and Zimbabwe) can apply for these foundation prizes.
