The British Council in Pakistan has been invited to nominate one teacher for a Hornby Trust scholarship. This award is for a full-time UK based Masters course in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) or Education (ELT) of 9-12 months duration. (This award does not apply to short courses or PhD or any other sort of courses).
Applicants should be enthusiastic and motivated to the improvement of ELT within Pakistan and eager to make a contribution to British Council ELT projects in Pakistan.
Candidates should normally:
- have successfully completed an undergraduate course equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in the UK.
- have been involved in some development work as trainer or a manager.
- have attained a standard of English language competence broadly equivalent to a band 7 score on the International English Language Testing Service (IELTS).
