The Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance (IMFG) offers graduate fellowship to a full-time enrolled student at the University of Toronto. Fellowship is for pursuing studies related to municipal finance or governance in Canada. The students must be enrolled at the University of Toronto in Masters or PhD program. The students will receive $5,000 which will be paid in two equal installments. The tenure of the fellowship is for one year. Application is sent electronically and by post till August 17, 2013.

-The holder of the award is required to do a presentation on their research at a seminar organized by the IMFG.

Scholarship Description: The Institute’s fellowship is offered annually to a full-time graduate student who is enrolled at the University of Toronto and who is engaged in studies related to municipal finance or governance. The Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance (IMFG) is an Institute housed in the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. The IMFG was founded in December 2004, to develop solutions to the fiscal problems facing Canada’s largest cities and city-regions.

Number of awards offered: Two fellowships are offered.

Duration of award(s):The IMFG Fellowship will be awarded for the period September 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013.

What does it cover? The award recipient will receive $5,000, paid in two equal installments, one in September and one in January. The IMFG Fellowship may be held in conjunction with any other award.
