Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing postdoctoral research programme.

Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded by the Institute for Social Science Research.

Scholarship Award: This is full-time; fixed-term three-year appointment at Academic Level A or B (this position may be filled at either Level A or B depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant as per the Position Description). The remuneration package will be in the range $62,653.88 – $84,985.56 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $73,305 – $99,433 per annum) for Level A and $89,458.97 – $106,232.23 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package $104,667.00 – $124,291.71 p.a.) for Level B.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:

Applicants should possess PhD (or close to completion) in relevant field (e.g. sociology, demography, social statistics, economics or a related area with a strong statistical component). You will have research experience across one or more of the following areas: longitudinal data, families, disadvantage, inequality, or education with statistical or econometric methods for longitudinal survey and administrative data. Ideal applicants will have skills or demonstrated potential to undertake research on social or economic mobility and inequality using statistical analysis of longitudinal and cross-sectional survey data.

Nationality: Australian and international applicants can apply for these fellowships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants should possess PhD (or close to completion) in relevant field (e.g. sociology, demography, social statistics, economics or a related area with a strong statistical component).

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: International applicants must meet the University of Queensland’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements.
