Description : Dear all, The new call for student applications of the international double-degree Master of Science in European Forestry Erasmus Mundus (2009-2011) has been announced. The applications form qualified students are accepted from now. The deadline for the application is 31st December 2008. Selection decision will be made in March 2009, and the selected students will start the MSc EF course 2009-2011 at the end of August 2009. Please find the link below about the call. Study Objectives
Ethiopia is one of the countries which are endowed with unique and divers Physical and Biological resources. These resources have been the direct livelihood supporters of the community. These days both physical and Biological resources are in a massive destruction, as a consequence of in unapproprate utilization of the resources ( there is no enough technologically advanced resource management system i.e the monitoring, evaluating, assessment of the resource with the suporter of remote sensing and geographical information system technology is very low in the country. In addition to these there is a natural hazards like draught, flooding, climatic changes and hydrological imbalance become the common phenomenon in the country. As a result of this unhealthy interaction of natural resources and people, the contribution of these resources to livelihood of the community has also decline drastically.
Recognizing these problems /to alivate these problem the govrnmenet give agreat empassis and also, Hawassa University Wondo Genet college of Forestry and Natural resources has opened departments that can produce educated human power in the area of Foresrty and Natural Resource Management. For its mission, the college encourages its staff members to participate in international scholarship programs and tries to build it human power capacity. In addition, I personally want to shape my future career in Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System (RS and GIS).
Further more, I am definitely sure that, the MSc training programs given in your Universities are of high standard and comprises both super theoretical and practical issues. Meanwhile learning in your program will acquaints me with the different cultures and traditions especially the working culture.

I am student of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Montenegro. I will have Master’s degree of Theoretical Methematics on septemer (maybe jun) 2009.
Area of my interest is Functional analysis(C*algebras,Spectral theory..)…so i would like to continue phd.studies at some (erasmus mundus) university where this area is highly developed.
I would be grateful to you ,if you can give me some information or advice in that way.

I am a student of college of Dry Land Agriculture and Narural Resource in the department of Land Resource Management and Environmental Protection in Mekelle University, Ethiopia. I will have M.Sc degree of Land Resource Management after a year. But I still need to upgrade my study in the area of sustainable groundwater resource development in any relevant oversea university.
