Apply for the International Parliamentary Scholarships (IPS)

The International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS), an internship program offered by the German Bundestag (German national parliament), is now accepting applications. IPS enables politically engaged young college graduates to get to know the German parliamentary system through a five-month stay in Germany (March 1 through July 31, 2010). IPS is offered in 25 countries and includes a 15-week internship in the office of a member of the German parliament.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Interested in politics
  • Excellent knowledge of German
  • College degree (B.A. or B.S.)
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Born after March 1, 1980

The scholarship includes:

  • Monthly grant of ? 450.00
  • Free accommodations
  • Health, accident, and liability insurance
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses to and from Berlin
