PhD position in Lyon
Institute of Researches on Catalysis and Environment in Lyon has the PhD position open. This position is an international PhD grants which means that is open only for students having prepared their master outside of France.
Application deadline is 2 July 2008.
The project could be selected by the students out of the following broad suggestions:
1. Photochemistry of nitrate ions on dust – implication for climate change.
2. Heterogeneous sulfur conversion due to photochemistry at the air/dust interface.
3. Photosensitized reactions at the air/aerosol interface.
4. Photochemical atmospheric oligomer formation.
The projects will involve up to date instrumentation such as Aerosol Mass Spectrometry, optical spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR) and many other.
All projects are connected to photochemistry at interface which a field of growing interest for the atmosphere.
