Position: HBIGS offers PhD positions in the following research areas:

• Systems Biology, Bioinformatics & Mathematical Biology

The HBIGS Graduate School offers excellent training and research opportunities for PhD students, from Germany and
abroad, in a stimulating and highly interdisciplinary scientific environment. Outstanding PhD students will receive competitive fellowships of up to 1468,- EUR/month.

Responsibilities: Experimental PhD thesis & Participation in the activities of the Graduate School

Requirements: The minimal requirement for admission into the Graduate School is a university degree from an internationally accredited university that would allow the applicant to enter a PhD program in biosciences in the country where the degree was awarded. Depending on the country, this may be a Masters, Licentiate or Diploma in Natural Sciences or equivalent.

Application procedure (deadline etc.):

Highly motivated and skilled students are encouraged to apply to HBIGS via the online application system between 15 October and 1 December 2008. The program will start on 15 March 2009.
