I am a lecturer at Arba Minch University, Ethiopia. My field of specialization is Biomedical Sciences. I have worked on Malaria/intestinal helminths co-infections and anaemia during my M.Sc. thesis and successfully completed. Now I am looking for Phd opportunity in line of parasitic zoonosis, especially on Echinococcus in the wild. There are three national parks near Arba Minch University: Nech Sar, Mago and Omo National Parks. I want to study the distribution, molecular characterization and zoonotic importance of Echinococcus species in these national parks. I think I will make a difference in this area.

I am a student of Msc. Zoology (Parasitology) at Islamic University in Uganda almost through with the program. Please update me on any other future PhD projects in the same field of Biology and pathology of malaria parasites. Malaria is highly endemic in Uganda and number one killer of children and puts a great proportion of pregnances at risk; resistance to drugs is also increasing amidst all efforts put by the gov’t.

The above reasons have made me develop a keen interest in this field but unfortunately appropriate exposure is a big limiting factor in developing countries like Uganda.

I would really appreciate any updates in this field.
