International Ph.D. Programs in the Life Sciences
Description: The Life Science Zurich Graduate School consists of nine highly competitive Ph.D. programs, run jointly by the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. Each program offers research and education opportunities in a stimulating international environment for ambitious students who wish to work towards a Ph.D. degree. Accepted students perform their research project in one of the participating research groups of their favorite program, according to their scientific interest. Advanced teaching and training courses are offered throughout the curriculum. The program language is English throughout. Ph.D. studies usually last 3-4 years.
Education: Applicants must hold or anticipate receiving a Master’s degree or equivalent from a university in a relevant field before starting the Ph.D. program. Applicants accepted for the program will have to register with either the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich, depending on the affiliation of their future research group.

I had worked in one of Ethiopian state Agricultural bureau and I have a 3(three) years work experience . I have a great desire to continue my future education to MSc level fields related to Environmental science.To deliver & perform my responsibility fully to the rate that my country expected & to participate in the development endeavors of my country by making myself part of the solution I need further education. Hence it is my firm motive to study my MSc in Environmental Science. Sir, I have qualified Bachelor Degree in Microbiology and completed Post Graduate in Biotechnology with first class marks in 2006. After the course, I worked 1½ years as a Research trainee in the International Centre for Bioresources Management (ICBM) at Malankara Catholic College, Kanyakumari, affiliated to Manonmaniyam Sunderanar University. After which I did one month Basic training course in ‘Nanotechnology’. Then I worked as lecturer in Biotechnolgy for 1 year at Yeshwant College of IT, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Parbhani district, Maharashtra, affiliated to Swamy Ramanant Teerth Marathawada University, Nanded, Maharashtra State. Also I have several National publications comprising Book Chapters, Abstracts and Poster presentations. I have also achieved several Publications in International Journal (with ISSN standard) both in review and research areas and felt proud with Oral talks in International conferences. Recently, I worked as Course Coordinator for one month certification course in Basic Nanotechnology at Parbhani centre under grant from INCITE.
