   I am a final year student of
   Molecular Biology and Physiology, with major in Experimental
   Biomedicine, at Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
   I would like to do my diploma thesis in Munich, at TUM’s Hospital
   where I have already contacted lab chief. He said
   that there is the opportunity to do a diploma thesis in his lab but he
   can not provide me with a salary during my stay in Munich. Since I am still a student I can’t cover all expenses, too.
   I would be very grateful if you help me with this. Is there some program in which I could fit in? Most fellowships are for graduate, PhD, Postdoc…
   This is very important to me because I believe it would provide me
   with necessary background needed for a future career in scientific
   research and would be a great introduction into my PhD studies which I’m planning to do in Germany.

   Dear Sir / Madam,
   This is Parastou Pourhassan, 28 years of age and Iranian. I’ve got the MA degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Recently, I’ve been graduated from one of the well-known and reliable universities of Iran with very good results and a perfect grade because of a very good performance on my defend session. I’ve always been a studious student in all of the levels of my educational periods and nowadays I’m teaching different English language courses at the universities, colleges and institutions in my country.

   Now, at this level of education, I am so interested to continue my studies and get PhD in this subject of study in one of your universities. Something which is very important for me is taking a scholarship or a study grant that is usually offered to doctoral students. Please help me by giving some information regarding these issues. How and where can I apply the universities in order to take a study grant, salary or a scholarship during my doctoral studies?

    I am Rev. Josephat Sahani Kaboya aged 39 years, an employee with National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) at Tabora Research Centre in Tanzania.

    I have been working with this Research Institution since 1993 to date as a Senior Laboratory Technologist. In 2001, I completed a two year course of Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (specialized in Parasitology and Medical Entomology) at the Muhimbili University of health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) by then was known as Muhimbili University College of health Sciences (MUCHS)

    Last year i.e 2008, I was offered a place to pursue MSc -Research/PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biology of Cancer) in the school of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Liverpool, UK.

    I tried to look for scholarship/sponsorships but I didn’t get any assistance financially. This year (during this academic year 2009/2010) the Liverpool school authority has nominated me again to pursue the same course.

    I therefore, ask you to assist me financially to meet the school required tuition fee (pounds 12,000), bench fee (pounds 3,000.
    Bench fee in years 2-4 will be ponds 6,000 = pounds 18,000.

    The course is of 4 years and this offer is a conditional one (i.e. it depends on the availability of funds) Also, the course commences on 21st September,2009

    I hope that, my financial request will be considered as this course is very important not only to me but also to my institute (NIMR), country and the World at large.
