-A good command of both English and French (it is necessary to have a very good level of written English and a good working knowledge of French but you will be expected to be able to converse and write in both languages.) You will be tested orally and in writing in both languages.
-Born between 1 January 1983 and 1 January 1988.
-Minimum of 6 months full-time prior experience with an international organisation, an NGO or at a Red Cross or Red Crescent Society headquarters (see non-exhaustive list above).
-Available for 1 year, starting either in the first half of January 2013 (Wednesday 2 or Monday 7 January) or 18 March 2013.

Scholarship Description: The role of the Division of Multilateral Organisations, Policy and Humanitarian Action is to assist the action of the ICRC by promoting respect for humanitarian principles and international humanitarian law in the international arena through the establishment of relations and/or coordination with other humanitarian organisations. In addition, the division serves as a centre of expertise for the ICRC’s multilateral relations, humanitarian coordination and ICRC policy, monitoring the multilateral humanitarian environment and providing advice and support to field operations.
