Internship is a valuable experience where students upgrade their knowledge and develop their skills. Internships for High School Students provide practical environment to the course and subject area that is hardly possible in classrooms. Both paid and unpaid internships are offered by various national and international organizations to enrich high school students with the practical knowledge in their specific subjects in a short span of time. 2015 School-Year High School Internships

The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers School-Year High School Internships. Any student who: is in grade 11 or 12 at a New York City Department of Education Title I high school when the internship begins. It provides $600 stipend in two parts: $300 upon successful completion of the first half of the program; $300 upon successful completion of the second half of the program. Application Available: July 1, 2015 and Deadline: September 16, 2015.

Earth Sciences High School Internship Program

Stanford University is offering Earth Science Internship Program for High School Students. The program enables graduate students to serve as supervisors, prepares high schools students for college and serves to strengthen the connections between Stanford and local high schools. The high school internship program is an annual program and will be offered in 2014. The application deadline is March 22, 2015.

High School Summer Internship Program in Research, 2015

The High School Summer Internship Program provides internship for current high school juniors and seniors at Magee-Women Research Institute. The program is organized high school students to participate in basic or clinical research projects with the goal of promoting interest in biomedical research as a potential career. The application deadline is March 30, 2015.

Summer Research Internships for Rural High School Students

The AspirnautTM Summer Research Internship is a hands-on and mentored laboratory experience for high school students interested in a career in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). Interns are provided room and board and given opportunity to interact with university faculty and administrators. In addition, students are paid a salary for the time they work in the lab. Application deadline is February 1, 2015.

The Draper Laboratory High School Summer Internship program

The Draper Laboratory High School Summer Internship program is accepting applications from high school students that are interested in participating in a 6-8 week paid summer research internship. The internship provides an opportunity for students to work with mentor scientists and administrators toward the execution of a research project while obtaining professional experience in support of academic preparation for a career in engineering or related science. Application period: January 15th, 2015 – March 1st, 2015.

High School and Pre-Medical Student Summer Internship, 2015

The Cardiothoracic Surgical Skills and Education Center Stanford Summer Internship is designed to educate high school and pre-medical students considering careers in science, medicine, and public health. This program is open to all students worldwide. There is a fee to apply and a $5,800 fee to participate. The application deadline is February 13, 2015.

Opera House Arts High school college students internships

Applications are invited for Opera House Arts internships for high school students. Internships can pay stipends of up to $500 for high school students and $1,000 for college students depending on the length of the internship. The deadline for 2015 summer internships is April 1, 2015.

CCB Summer Internships at Johns Hopkins University

The internship program will provide you with hands-on research experience as part of ongoing research projects with bioinformatics and genomics faculty in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Biostatistics, and Biology, and in the Institute of Genetic Medicine.  The program is open to college undergraduates and to exceptional high school students. Students who graduate from high school in 2015 should apply as high school interns. For full consideration, applications must be submitted by March 6, 2015.

2015 Summer High School Internships

The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers Summer High School Internships for the year 2015. The internship consists of three main components: Departmental Placements, Career Labs, and Gallery Sessions. Any student who is completing grade 11 or 12 at a high school or home school in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut the spring before the internship begins (is a rising senior or recent high school graduate during the internship) are eligible to apply for this internship programme. Application Deadline is April 8, 2015.
