Legal Services Unit Law Internships for Undergraduates in Singapore, 2014/2015

The Singapore Legal Service is offering law internships for undergraduates studying at the NUS Law Faculty, the SMU Law School and the Scheduled Universities. The Legal Unit provides the full suite of legal services to the Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth (MCCY). Internships are available twice annually and coincide with the vacation period at the end of each academic year. Interns will be invited to contribute and assist in the vetting or drafting of contracts, funding agreements, deeds and MOU, advisory work, devising legal strategies and undertaking legal analysis and research. Applicants can apply till 31st July 2014.

Internship Description: The Legal Unit represents the Attorney-General in the Ministry of Culture, Community & Youth (MCCY). Singapore Legal Service provides the full suite of legal services to MCCY, including advisory work and legal vetting. Legal Services Unit work involves the unique mix of Civil law and Muslim law, domestic law and international law, regulatory and corporate law, and trusts and charities law.

Internship Duration: Internship is offered for December 2014 to February 2015 for the period of 4 weeks.

Notification: Successful applicants will be notified by September/October 2014.

Candidates should submit a cover letter stating applicant’s interest and why they are applying for an internship with the Legal Service, a copy of applicants latest CV, and all academic transcripts to-date (i.e. ‘O’ level, ‘A’ level, ‘IB’ diploma and university transcripts or the equivalent).
