IUJ’s Graduate School of International Management introduces 3 new Scholarships

The Graduate School of International Management (GSIM) at the International University of Japan (IUJ), which is the only Japanese Business School ranked in the Top 100 global business schools by the Economist Intelligence Unit, today announced the launch of 3 new scholarships. These scholarships consist of a full tuition waiver for the entire 2-year Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program and the 1-year Master of E-business Management Program at IUJ.

“As the global economy struggles under the weight of one of the worst and most far-reaching crises in history, now more than ever businesses of every scale and scope are serious need of leaders who can truly help to solve complex challenges,” said Dr. Philip Sugai, Dean of the GSIM. “With these full tuition scholarships, we are hoping to bring those with the potential to become effective leaders to our campus to hone the skills and capabilities they will need to excel in this new business environment.”

For the incoming class of 2009, three (3) Scholarships will be offered. Specifically, one scholarship will be made available for each of the following groups of applicants:

Those who have shown clear examples of their potential to become a visionary leader, and who are:

  1. Japanese Nationals (living in Japan or Overseas)
  2. Women in business
  3. Those completing The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program

In addition to completing the traditional application documents for the appropriate programs at IUJ, applicants for these GSIM Future Leaders scholarships must complete an additional essay which delves deeper into their leadership aspirations and past achievements that qualify them for consideration.
