Scholarship offered to foreign students who wish to conduct research on school education at Japanese universities under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program for 2010 as follows:

  1. Tenable for 18 months from October 2010 to March 2012.
  2. Academic Background? Applicants must be a graduate of a university or a teacher-training school and have worked as a teacher of an elementary or secondary educational institution or a teacher-training school in his/her home country for at least five years in total as of April 1, 2010. (In-service professors are not eligible.)
  3. Age? Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1975. Applicants must be Australian nationals.
  4. Applicants will be required to take a compulsory English examination and may also choose to take an optional Japanese Language examination in March 2010. Travel expenses for the exam will be borne by applicants.
  5. Closing date for applications: TUESDAY, 16 MARCH 2010
