WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR THE POST OF ‘JRF’
A JRF is available for a period of two years to work in a DST funded project entitled “Spatiotemporal monitoring of a glacier using satellite remote sensing and Luminescence measurement techniques”.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 (One Post) [Rs. 12,000/- p.m.]
Essential Qualifications: a) M. Sc. (Remote Sensing/Geology/Geophysics)
Desirable Experience : Knowledge of ERDAS, GIS and analysis of remotely sensed data.
Applications are invited from the candidates possessing the above mentioned qualifications and experience. Candidates will be required to collect field data in glaciated terrain.
Candidates should bring along with them application with complete bio-data, attested copies of Mark sheets/Certificates, Caste certificate and Experience certificate addressed to Director, PEC, with a passport size photograph. They are required to produce certificates / testimonials in original at the time of interview. Candidates having cleared UGC/CSIR/NET/GATE examination shall be preferred.
HRA, Medical benefits, Leave, etc. will be given to the project staff as per DST’s guidelines on emoluments and other conditions of service for research personnel. It may please be noted that neither PEC nor DST will have any liability, whatsoever, for the project staff after completion of the project duration.
Candidates for the above post will be recruited through Walk-in interview. Interview will be held in the Conference hall, near Director’s office at PEC, Sector 12, Chandigarh on 15. 12. 2008 (Monday) at 2.30 pm.
