JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AT DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
N. I. T. DURGAPUR

Applications are invited for a position of Junior Research Fellow from
candidates holding a master’s degree (First Class) in Chemistry with specialisation in
Inorganic/Organic chemistry from a recognized University or Institute to work on a
DST sponsored research project entitled ” Synthetic Modeling of Copper-Proteins
Active Site”. NET/GATE qualified Candidates will be preferred for the same.
The selected candidates will be initially taken as Junior Research Fellows
(JRF) and will be paid a stipend of Rs.12,000/- per month (consolidated) plus
Rs.1800/- and Rs.100/- for HRA and medical allowance respectively. The fellowship
will be provided initially for a period of two years. Continuation of the fellowship is
subject to satisfactory performance and review at the end of each year. On satisfactory
performance, the tenure of Fellowship will be further extended and upgraded to
Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from the third year onwards with a stipend of
Rs.14,000/- per month (consolidated) plus Rs.2100/- and Rs.100/- for HRA and
medical allowance respectively. Candidates recruited for JRF can register for
pursuing Ph.D programme.
