Junior/Senior Research Fellowships 2009, FRIAS, Germany
The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) is the University of Freiburg’s international research center. It is funded by the German federal Excellence Initiative. The FRIAS School of History is open to international and German researchers who are working on a major project in a historical discipline. The 2007-2012 research cycle focuses on comparative European History from the 18th to the 20th century.
For 2010/11 applications are invited for
4 Senior Research Fellowships
for tenured Professors in the field of History
and/or allied disciplines and
3 Junior Research Fellowships
for post-doctoral researchers in the field of History
and/or allied disciplines.
Candidates for Senior Fellowships should have an outstanding record in international academia with a high-ranking publication profile. Applicants for Junior Fellowships should be exceptional young researchers with a highly promising Ph.D. in addition to further publications.
Fellowships do not entail any teaching obligations. However, Junior Fellows wishing to do so may teach within the University and can also further qualify at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Albert-Ludwigs-University.
All fellowships start on October 1, 2010. They will be remunerated according to the German professorial system, depending on the candidate’s profile and qualification. Senior Fellowships and Junior Fellowships are usually for one year. All FRIAS Fellows are expected to reside in Freiburg.

I worked with women issues nearly 10 years. During this period I have lots of experiences and lesson learnt about the issues that are related on women life as well as those issues affects for the people by generations. GBV issues are the serious issues for long time. It is continuing to next generations too. These issues were increased during the armed conflict situation as well as people were displaced. I would like to continue my work with women issues for the rest of my life. There fore I need to learn more about the women issues with improve my theoretical knowledge and the analysis knowledge.
