The Karakoram International University is inviting applicants for its Foreign Scholarship for Students of Gilgit-Baltistan in Turkey. Scholarship is available to pursue PhD, MS/ME and Foreign Training programme in the field of engineering.

The aim of this scholarship is to support students who want to pursue PhD, MS/ME and Foreign Training in the field of Civil/ Mining Engineering and Geology.

Karakoram International University or Karakoram University, (KIU) is an international level university in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It was established in 2002 with a charter from the Federal Government of Pakistan, with the goal of improving access to higher education for the deserved people of Gilgit-Baltistan

Course Level: Scholarship is available to pursue PhD, MS/ME and Foreign Training programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Civil/ Mining Engineering and Geology.

Scholarship Award: This scholarship will cover the following:

• PhD. and MS/ME and Foreign Training selected candidates from Selection Board/Selection Committee of University will appoint as Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Laboratory Supervisors respectively and relieve immediately for the higher education/training without pay.

Scholarship can be taken in Turkey

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

PhD Foreign Scholarship Turkey:

• BE/BS Civil Engineering 1st Division.
• 3 years academic/research or field services.

MS/ME Indigenous Scholarship:

• BE/BS Civil Engineering 1st Devising.
• One year academic/Field services.

Foreign Training Scholarship:

• BS/BE (Mining Engineering)/BS (Geology).
• Preference to candidate with training in Gem Cutting and polishing
• Preference will be given to enrolled students in Ph.D./MS/ME Civil Engineering program as per post conditions.
• Preference will be given alumni of Departments of Mining Engineering / Earth Sciences, KIU for foreign training.
• Only Candidates with the domicile of Gilgit-Baltistan are eligible for all post.
• The Candidates which were trained under any University program in Gem Cutting and Polishing are illegible to apply for training.

Nationality:

• Only Candidates with the domicile of Gilgit-Baltistan are eligible for scholarships.
