KODAK is accepting applications for Student Cinematography Scholarship Award for 2016. The scholarship award is available for university or college students at the undergraduate or graduate levels in a degree or diploma program.

The programme is designed to encourage and foster up-and-coming storytellers by honoring students who demonstrate exemplary skills and creativity in the art of motion pictures

The University Film & Video Association (UFVA) is an organization of professors, scholars, and film and video makers. The organization is based in the U.S.; it has members throughout the world. Kodak’s Entertainment Imaging business is the world leader in providing motion picture film and imaging products, services, and technology for the professional motion picture and exhibition industries.

Applicant must have excellent proficiency in oral and written English.

Course Level: Scholarship is for university or college students of cinematography at the undergraduate or graduate levels in a degree or diploma program.

Study Subject(s): Scholarship is available in cinematography at the undergraduate or graduate levels.

Scholarship Award:
-First Place: $3,000 Scholarship Tuition Award and $5,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant
-Kodak Vision Award: $3,000 Scholarship Tuition Award and $5,000 KODAK Motion Picture Product Grant

Eligibility: In order to apply for scholarship, applicants must follow the given criteria:
-Entries must be completed works that communicate a story or theme in some fashion — no clips or short vignettes.
-Eligible institutions are colleges and universities in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belize, Benelux, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela.
-Each institution may nominate up to one student each year for consideration for the KODAK Student Cinematography Scholarship Award.
-College student nominees must be full time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in the 2015-2016 academic year and planning to enroll for the 2016- 2017 academic year in a film school’s degree or diploma program.

Nationality: Students of eligible colleges and universities in the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belize, Benelux, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay and Venezuela can apply for this Cinematography scholarship. 

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: The applicant is working toward the degree or diploma program described in this application and the camera work submitted in the portfolio is by him or her.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicant must have excellent proficiency in oral and written English.
