Imperial College London is inviting applications for Kolio Ficheto bulgarian engineering scholarship. The Kolio Ficheto Bulgarian Engineering Scholarship will pay full tuition fees and an annual maintenance grant of £11,000 for the cost of living for one undergraduate student throughout their three or four year course – subject to satisfactory progression. The admission deadline is 15 January 2016 entry in October 2016.

Eligibility: This scholarship is only available to students who:
-are studying in a state school in Bulgaria
-are of Bulgarian nationality
-achieve an overall score in the Diploma za Zavurcheno Sredno Obrazovanie (DZSO) of 5.9 or above, and: a 6.0 in Mathematics, physics and one other relevant science subject, pass their Matriculation (State) Exam in both (compulsory) Bulgarian and in either mathematics or another relevant science subject (for Computing and Mechanical Engineering, physics would be preferred; for Chemical Engineering, either physics or chemistry would be preferred) – applicants who pass in a third relevant subject will be preferred, meet Imperial’s minimum English language requirements, including the relevant test(s), can demonstrate a household income of £25,000 (approx. 67,000 BGN Lev) per year or less (parental payslips will be required) and hold an offer from Imperial for a three or four year undergraduate course within one of the four participating departments to study Computing, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Please Note: Year abroad courses are excluded.
-This scholarship is intended to help students from less advantaged backgrounds within Bulgaria. It is therefore only open to students who study at state-run schools, and who are from a low-income background.
