Leonard Condell Farming Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded by the Leonard Condell Farming Scholarship Trust established under the terms of the Will of the late Leonard Condell.
1. There shall be two classes of scholarship:
(a) Postgraduate Scholarships: Candidates must be New Zealand born graduates in science, agriculture or related disciplines (e.g. horticulture, veterinary science, food technology, biotechnology) and must enter fields of research for the benefit of some branch of agriculture in New Zealand. The emolument shall be up to $3,000 per annum.
(b) PhD Scholarships: Candidates must be New Zealand born graduates in science, agriculture or related disciplines (e.g. horticulture, veterinary science, food technology, biotechnology) and must enter fields of research for the benefit of some branch of agriculture in New Zealand. The emolument shall be up to $4000 per annum.
2. Scholarships shall be awarded by the Trustees on the recommendation of the Applied Science Scholarship Committee as funds permit.
3. Recommendations for an award shall be based on the candidate’s academic attainment. The Applied Science Scholarship Committee may refrain from recommending an award in any year if it considers no candidate to be of sufficient merit.
5. One half of the emolument of the scholarship shall be paid in May, and the balance in September.
6. In recommending the award of a scholarship, the Applied Science Scholarship Committee shall take account of other scholarships held, with a view to achieving a reasonable distribution of scholarships among qualifying students.

Applications will NOT be accepted more than 3 months in advance of the closing date.

My name is Diba Gutu; I have diploma in general agriculture with a cumulative GPA of 2.99 from Ambo college of Agriculture and Bsc degree in Horticulture with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 from Jimma university college of Agriculture and veterinary medicine. Since my graduation in 1999, I was serving at Oromia Irrigation Development Authority and Oromia Rural and Agricultural Development Bureau as wereda expert, head and vise head offices serving for 8 years and 4 months.
But now I am working in Ministry of capacity Building as public relation expert from Oct, 2008 up to now. Totally I have almost 9 years and above work experience. Having said this, it was my aspiration and desire to have MSC degree.and I will be happey if you give me the opportunity of masters in any related feild.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh with first class and obtained Masters of Science in Agroforestry and Environment from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh with CGPA of 3.9 out of 4.0. Now i am serving in Government service with an experience of 6 years. My name is shiva yendyo. i have done B.Sc(hons) agriculture in 2007 with a cumulative GPA of 3.63 from himalayan collages of agricultural sciences and technology (HICAST) and my elective subject is horticulture science. After complection of my B.Sc9hons) Ag i have work in few organisation as farm manager and agriculture officer .Nowdays i started my own enterprises name as Greenery Agro Integrated Group Pvt .Ltd. in joint venture with other friends. i am working as farm manager in this organisation.this enterprise does farming activities like off season vewgetable production,livestock production, acquaculture, mushroom production etc.
Now i want to do my M.Sc in agriculture that suit my farm and my enterprises and my country.
