Please click here to find an application form and guidance notes for the Leicestershire and Rutland Sport Coach Scholarship Scheme (at the top of the Area News Page). This is a one off funding opportunity which has been made possible through Learning Skills Council funding.
The scheme will provide up to 50% scholarships (to a maximum of £200) for coaches to attend level 2 and level 3 UKCC accredited NGB coaching qualifications.
NB: Coaches will be required to have registered onto an approved course before 21 March 2008 – evidence of this will be required. (further eligibility is outlined in the attached information).
Coaches must be nominated by Sports Governing Bodies, County Associations, Local Authority Sports Units or School Sports Partnerships. NB: the nominating organisation will be required to complete the application form, a signature is also required from the coach.
Closing date for applications is 29 Feb 08. A limited number of scholarships are available – all applications will be considered by the county Club/ Coach Development Group. This is a one off funding opportunity.
Leicester-Shire and Rutland Sport is working in partnership with Northamptonshire Sport to ensure consistency for Regional Governing Bodies across the 2 CSP areas.
