Linbury Scholarships for UK Students at Saïd Business School in UK, 2020-2021

For the academic year 2020-2021, Saïd Business School is offering Linbury Scholarships for UK Students. Up to three scholarships will be awarded annually to the value of £60,000 to either MBA or Executive MBA students.

The Linbury Trust is a charitable trust, established by Lord Sainsbury of Preston Candover KG (John Sainsbury) and his wife Anya, Lady Sainsbury, CBE, the former ballerina Anya Linden. The name ‘Linbury’ is thus derived from the names Linden and Sainsbury.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing MBA and EMBA programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of business administration.

Scholarship Award: The Linbury Scholarships award up to three scholarships annually to the value of £60,000 to either MBA or Executive MBA students.

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility: Applicants to the scholarship must meet the following criteria:

  • Open to MBA and Executive MBA (September intake only) candidates.
  • The full programme application including the scholarship essay must be submitted by the scholarship deadline.
  • Candidates must ordinarily be a resident in the UK (determined via the ‘About You’ section of the programme application form).
  • Demonstration of a long-term commitment to the arts, heritage or cultural sector by articulating an intention to work in these fields in the UK post completion of the MBA or EMBA programme.
  • In addition, a minimum of two years’ experience in an arts, heritage or cultural sector organisation is desirable.

Nationality: Citizens of UK are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have previous year degree.

English language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University. The requirement for certification may be waived if there is suitable alternative evidence of the candidate having met the required level of English language proficiency.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. TO apply, students need to submit the additional Linbury Scholarship essay in the funding section of your program application form. Please write up to 500 words, answering the question: How would the business education of an MBA (or) EMBA help you contribute to the arts, cultural or heritage sector in the United Kingdom?

Application Deadline: To be considered for the scholarship you must be applying for the following entry points and adhere to the following deadlines:

  • MBA: 10 January 2020
  • EMBA: 27 January 2020
