Job Description: The scholarship is open to is open to UK/EU and overseas applicants and will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants will be ranked based on the following criteria:
1. Scholarly ability (as evidenced by academic record and references)
2. Suitability for the scheme applied for
3. Commitment to scholarship in the relevant field
4. Potential for contribution to scholarship and society more generally
5. Financial need.
Application: You must write a formal request to be considered for the scholarship, in no more than 500 words, making a case for receiving the award with reference to the criteria listed above (and any others which they feel are relevant). This includes providing enough detail about your financial situation to allow the Department to assess your need. Applications will be treated confidentially.
