The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation invites applications for the academic year 2017/2018. Scholarships are open to students of Austrian and American Universities, studying science and engineering and have an outstanding record of achievement in their field of study and plan to stay abroad at least for three months.
The aim is a transfer of knowledge between the USA and Austria. Research work is thereby commissioned and cooperation encouraged in research projects.
The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation is an endowment established according to Federal legislation for foundations and funds. The Foundation was initiated with a financial allocation from the ERP Fund to the sum of 30 million schillings.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing the doctoral programme.
Study Subject: Areas of emphasis include science as well as technology and engineering.
Scholarship Award: The Foundations contribution consists of a minimum of EUR 3.000,- and a maximum of EUR 10.000,- granted to a single applicant.

Eligibility: Participants applying for a scholarship are students of Austrian and American Universities, studying science and engineering, have an outstanding record of achievement in their field of study and plan to stay abroad at least for three months.
Nationality: Students of Austrian and American Universities can apply for Marshall Plan Scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants interested in pursuing a doctorate with an emphasis in those areas must have a completed degree (M.A. or the equivalent) with above average marks.
How to Apply: Essential information for applicants to prepare and submit a proposal for a Marshall Plan Scholarship is provided by the Foundation’s Partner Institutions. Applicants should consult their University’s International Offices in order to better prepare for the process, rules of participations, contractual and financial issues, etc. Proposals are submitted electronically via the Marshall Plan Scholarship web-based system. Grant-agreements for selected proposals are then signed between the Students and the Foundation.
