The Amoud University in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) invites applicants for Master Scholarship in Environmental Studies and Climate Change program. The scholarship is available for the applicants of Somalia.

The program is aimed at building the capacity of environmental governance through training a cadre of young professionals who could contribute to sustainable natural resources management by undertaking research in the environmental issues to inform policymaking and regulatory frameworks for prudent environmental governance.

Why at Amoud University? The university operates according to a semester system, and the academic year commences in September and ends in July. At the end of the academic year, there is one month break after two months of the first semester and holiday.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Citizens of Somaliland/Somalia are eligible for the scholarship.
  • Holders of Bachelors Degree in any one of the following areas:
  • Environmental Science, Environmental Education, Natural Resources Management, Geography, Geology, Meteorology, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Agriculture or rangeland management.
  • Younger than 35 years
  • The scholarship is awarded in environmental studies and climate change.
  • People with high proficiency in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
