Master’s Degree Scholarships Hungary in 2009
Scholarships For Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
As of September 2009, two Master’s Degree level courses will be offered in English on a scholarship basis by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to nationals of a select group of countries

Only nationals from the following countries are eligible for the 2009 Scholarship Programme:
Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Ethiopia, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
Conditions
The main objective of the scholarship is to further develop courses of study in the agricultural production sector: Agricultural Biotechnology, Crop Production, Plant Protection, Animal Sciences, Animal Nutrition and Feed Safety and Agricultural Engineering.
The Research sector will be covered by a maximum of two applicants.
Scholarship funding will cover the following costs: application and tuition fees throughout the study period, basic books and notes, accommodation in dormitory and subsistence cost. For the duration of the scholarship awarded students are entitled to health care coverage similar to that of their Hungarian counterparts. The scholarship covers costs related to the student only, and does not apply to any family member.
Application and Selection Process
The selection process as described below applies to scholarships beginning in September 2009. Applicants wishing to apply to a scholarship for subsequent years should wait until the next round of selections is officially announced.
Student selection will take place in two steps:
Step 1: FAO will pre-screen candidates and submit recommendations to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. FAO will inform all candidates of the outcome of the initial screening and will provide further instructions to candidates that have been favorably pre-screened to guide them through the second step of the selection. It is important to note that a favorable pre-screening in the first step does not guarantee selection.
Step 2: The participating Universities will run a further selection process and inform each of the successful candidates. The final selection will be made by the Universities, with no involvement on the part of FAO. For admission to English-language courses (MSc Plant Protection, and MSc Agricultural Engineering), a language test or oral examination may be arranged as part of the selection, to verify candidates’ adequate mastering of the language.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:
- Citizenship from one of the selected beneficiary countries according to defined quotas
- Excellent school achievements
- Good health
- Motivation
- Mastering of English language (for courses taught in English)
- Age (candidates under 30 are preferred)

Aquaculture has great importance in Vietnam as it brings cheap food for the poor, employment, income to people as well as foreign exchange to government via aquatic products export.
As aquaculture has rapidly developed for the last two decades, it is facing with many serious problems such as disease outbreaks of aquatic animal, environmental pollution, loss of habitat like mangrove forest and food safety. Those problems are inevitable consequences of poor planning, agricultural, industrial and domestic effluents, using medicaments and chemical substances.
While the disease of aquatic animal fish as well as economic loss are increasing, the alternatives for medicaments are reduced for food safety requirements to limit drug and chemical residues, and animal welfare. The context has raises challenges to looking for environmentally friendly alternatives as well as effectively prevent or treat diseases.
I have been work aquatic animal health doctor in Research Institution for Aquaculture No1 (RIA 1) , I have found that there are opportunities to overcome the above mentioned challenges via capacity building for aquatic health care personnel, focusing on natural products as alternatives for replacing recently banned drugs and chemicals as well as awareness raising for aqua-farmers. Personally, I concern about diseases finding treatments that not only able to prevent the disease breakouts but also ensure no harm to ecosystem and consumers’ health protected. These treatments will require no or less antibiotics and chemical substances.
I strongly hope and think that I am quite eligible to take place in the course. I will return to Vietnam and continue to work for Center for Environment and Disease Monitoring in Aquaculture (CEDMA) – RIA1 after finishing the course. With knowledge gained from the course, I can help effectively contribute to aqua-farmers, particularly the poor one to increase there profit via reduce their loss caused by fish diseases. I believe that I will contribute to sustainable development program of Vietnam. I hope the Master course will support me to realize my idea

If you ask me this question, I can tell you that I am here to be committed to fulfill what God gave me birth to do-that is managing the human kind equally irrespective of age, sex, color and race. As Munroe said, <> so I am aspired or desired to treat those individuals to met the goal targeted. Don’t you think that one needs to equip his/her self to be self-sufficient or proficient to tackle the intended goal? I guess you strongly agree, isn’t it?
Here my point. At mea time I am working as Compassion assisted project.
In this project all the children are poor, poorer and the poorest of all in the town. There family or guardian’s monthly income is less than 30 USD. Those small being but the king and queen of tomorrow have to be changed. They need passionate and energetic person to shape those gifts of God .To be effective at work atmosphere, first I need to get further education. At man time I have got bachelor degree of education. But I feel that I was born to be leader. That is why I am in this world.
Thus, I badly need a catalyst that is willing to show directions, feed information or find the sponsor or even if possible, can sponsor to see the passionate and competent young project leader in the poorest country of the world, Ethiopia.
