I have Bachelor in Management from Ethiopia Adventist College in 2008And I have Bachelor of divinity in theology from Rome Urbaniana University in 2002. Now I am working in Shashemene Catholic School as a school Director and part time I teach management course in Ethiopia Adventist College.
Now I am very interested to continue my further education (master) if I can get any scholarship that relates to my field. .Even thou I have high interest to continue my further education I have not the financial strength to do so that. Even it is very difficult in our country to have good daily life. So I am very happy if you provide me with a scholarship any where. I graduated from Federal University of Technology Akure Nigeria, from the department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering in
2007. After my two years post graduate experience my target is to make my master degree on the area of Information Technology
(IT). The reason for my master degree in this area is the low technical know-how in Nigeria society compare to developed
countries like United Kingdom. As a young person who is being aware of this fact, the main need of the Nigerian society is a
profession that can solve these technical problems in which Information Technology is a major player.
I know I am in need of external funding in order to improve my intellectual asset. I had applied for admission in University of St
Andrews Scotland in the area of Information Technology to be commenced this September 2009 but no fund to continue the
process so I have differed it till September 2010.
Currently I am working with an IT firm Uphill Technology Ltd Abuja as a trainee Engineer and have participated in many
Information Technology works like Networking of computer, seminars and workshops sales and repair of computer systems
throughout major places in Nigeria. The primary goal of obtaining this Master is to develop my country Nigeria from the shackle of
poverty of different kinds mentally, socially and economically. This project is the re-unification of Nigeria Technology which I know
to achieve by focusing on Information Technology which comprises computer and communication. I aim to bring Nigeria closer to
Europe and help all Nigerian to build a culture of Technology in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. Also with my study I aimed to
improve youth’s direct relations with Technology, by visiting Nigerian Universities, increasing awareness and improve Information
Technology in our youth.
This will greatly reduce issues such as drug addiction and sexual discrimination and so on.
I will also form a working group to improve student’s rights and employment prospects in Nigeria. The working group will involves
many participants on my IT seminar which will include the office of the President, the Ministry of Education, state planning boards
and universities in Nigeria when i come back. It aims to develop long-run sustainable Information Technology policies through
targeted hands on solutions.
In this one year study period, the university that I have applied to make my masters is located at St Andrews, Fife KY16 9AJ,
Scotland, United Kingdom. Being aware of this fact, St. Andrews University is of high academic reputation, I believe it will help me
to understand Information Technology better. Spreading the ideas that I will learn or the linkages that I will make while studying
abroad would benefit Nigerian in many ways. I believe in a country like United Kingdom.
It is a fact that, in Nigeria, there is a high need for professionals which have master on Information Technology and related areas.
The scholarship to make my master on European Studies will fill one of the urgent needs of Nigerian society.
Finally, the scholarship is for Nigerian like me who are somehow victims of mismanagement on the part of Nigeria Government,
make me to widen my visions and perspectives by visiting new countries, new cultures and having new relations with new people.
To sum up, I think this scholarship is an excellent opportunity for my career and the scholarship seems like the perfect opportunity
for me to face technological challenge of my country.
I am ready to provide any information that may lead to the award of this scholarship

First of all I would like to thank all of you and your institution for providing the scholarship information. My name is Ali Ebrahim. I am from Ethiopia which is part of East Africa. I have Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Haramaya University in economics at 2008.Now I am working in one project which is owned by different Germen Ngos and the Ethiopian government under the ministry of capacity building. The project focuses on four areas which are private sector development, university reform, TVET system development and quality infrastructure.

Now I am very interested to continue my further education (masters) if I can get any scholarship that relates to my field.Eventhough, I have high interest to continue my further education I have not the financial strength to do so that. I am living in a third world or developing country. It is known that in such countries it is very difficult even to have good daily life. It is very difficult and impossible to continue further education in such countries. Since there is no such further education in these this creates shortage of skilled man power. There is enough and unutilized resource in these developing African countries but the main and chronic problem is that there is no skilled man power to mobilize and use such resource. Today we are living in a global system in which the change or failure in one continent or country affects the other one directly or indirectly. Our world is coming in to one village. For me it is good if I am specialized in my field which is very interesting for my country specifically and the world or globe in general. ECONOMICS, the back bone or necessary field for every country and I am also interested in any business field to specialize .So I am very happy if you provide me with a scholarship any where with any economics or business related field. It may be in the fields of business adminstration, development economics, public adminstration, international trade, policy analysis and designing, macro economics and others
