McJulien Minority Graduate Scholarship Award

The ECT Foundation’s McJulien Minority Graduate Scholarship Award is presented to a minority graduate student in educational communications and technology.

The awardee receives a plaque presented during the awards ceremony at the 2010 annual convention to be held October 26-30, 2010 at Hyatt Regency Orange County, Anaheim, California.

Background

The McJulien Minority Graduate Scholarship Award was established by Wes McJulien, past president of AECT and member of the ECT Foundation, in memory of his son, Patrick D. McJulien.

Criteria:

1. The applicant must be a full-time graduate student enrolled in a degree granting program in educational technology at the Masters, (MS), Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctoral (Ph.D./Ed.D.) level.

2. The applicant must provide evidence of an average of “B” or better to be considered for this award.

3. The applicant must be member of AECT.

4. Recommendations from three references must be submitted in order for the application to be considered.

5. The winner will be selected by AECT’s awards committee with recommendations solicited from the national affiliate Minorities in Media.
