Microsoft Research PhD Scholarship 2009
The PhD Scholarship Programme recognises and supports exceptional students who show the potential to make an outstanding contribution to science and computing. This programme supports PhD students in computing and those working at the intersection of computing and the sciences.
Only PhD supervisors should apply. If their project is selected, the supervisor has up to a year to find the best possible student for the project. Joint applications by two supervisors from different disciplines are especially encouraged.

Currently i am working in one government office as IT consultant. the information system data minining of my country is poor. I want to study further within data communications and networking so that i can do something to my country development in data mining, communications and networking . I completed my M.Tech – IT just last month from India.
I got my B.Sc Computer Science from Ghana in 2006.
I want to quickly develop on this with a PhD before I settle down finally in Ghana to put into action all that I have learnt. My aim is to join hands with the other IT professionals to embark on a nationwide networking and data backup project that will greatly increase the efficiency and reliability of our system. We can start with the Health or Security Service.
I am a Ghanaian currently resident in Ghana.
I hope to land a scholarship to help me improve myself and achieve my goals as well.
