Scholarship Description:The MILEN master fellows will get office space at SUM and will be assigned tasks related to MILEN activities. This will mainly be in the form of practical assignments in connection with MILEN events.This scholarship is intended for master students commencing on the part of their degree dedicated to the production of their master thesis. The topic of the thesis should be within MILEN’s thematic field: environmental change and sustainable energy. Students of all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.

MILEN is an interdisciplinary research area at the University of Oslo supported by the Faculties of Social Sciences (host unit), Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Law, in addition to Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM). CIENS – Oslo Centre for Interdisciplinary Environmental and Social Research is an important collaborative partner. The overall goal of MILEN is to strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration in the field of environmental change and sustainable energy, and to strengthen the University of Oslo’s role as a leading academic contributor towards solving important energy and environment-related challenges, both nationally and globally. MILENs areas of focus include climate- and environment-related issues, sustainable energy consumption and renewable energy.
