Graduate and Post-Graduate Studies in Molecular Cancer Biology
The Universities of Marburg and Würzburg (Germany) invite applications for a Collaborative Research Center (TR17 “Ras-dependent pathways in human cancer”) funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). We offer up to 5 postdoctoral fellowships, 10 PhD and 6 MD positions starting in fall 2008.
Our goals are to understand how oncogenic signal transduction generates specific tumour phenotypes and to identify novel concepts for treatment strategies. In our research, we take a multidisciplinary approach and use technologies such as high content RNAi screening, genomics, proteomics and advanced animal tumour models.
PhD and MD students will be part of an International PhD Program Molecular Cancer Biology, which offers interdisciplinary practical training, summer schools and retreats, mentoring by a thesis committee of three experts in the field, and a highly stimulating research environment with English as the working language.
