Forschungsbereich: Biochemie, Analytische Chemie, Signaltransduktion,
Brust- und Prostatakrebs, Serum Biomarker.
Spezialgebiete: Grundlagen, Bioanalyse, HPLC; LC-MS/MS;
Peptid-Sequenzierung; Proteomics.
Offene Position für einene PH.D. Studenten zum Studium von Biomarkern und Protein-Protein-Interaktionen mittels des proteomischen Ansatzes. Intensives Training in verschiedenen biochemischen Techniken wird angeboten. Der Kandidat wird Student der Abteilung für Chemie und Biomolekulare Wissenschaften an der Clarkson Universität und erhält einen PH.D. Abschluss dieser Universität. Die Studiengebühren und ein Stipendium werden bereitgestellt. Starke Grundlagen in analytischer Chemie, Proteinchemie und Zellbiologie sind Vorraussetzung. Ein erfolgreicher Kandidat von ausserhalb der USA muss GRE sowie Toefl absolvieren.
Podsdam liegt im Norden des Bundesstaats New York, mitten in der Natur, umgeben von Wäldern. Sportbegeisterte finden in der nahen Umgebung unzählige Möglichkeiten zum Schifahren und Wandern, Naturfreunde kommen im Adirondack National Park auf Ihre Kosten. Vermisst man die Grossstadt, ist es nur ein Katzensprung nach Montreal.
