Purpose of the Role:
To participate in the setup of a histology platform by developing image quantification methods and applications
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Develops software and methods for image quantification.
· Evaluates method performance in a critical manner and suggests improvements.
· Communicates with life scientists in order to define specifications/requirements.
· Ideally proposes improvements to the image acquisition phase.
· Documents work in English
Professional Skills & Experience:
· Experience with image analysis.
· Familiarity with Mathematical Morphology methods would be an advantage.
· At ease with software development independently of platform or language.
· Knowledge of Visual Basic an asset.
· General interest for the Life Sciences.
Personal Skills & Competencies:
· Enthusiasm about science and research.
· Team spirit and strong interpersonal skills.
· Curious, open minded.
· Fast learner.
Education Education & Languages:
· University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
· Fluency in English is required.
· French an asset.
