University of Oxford is inviting applications for Oppenheimer Fund Scholarships. Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time graduate degree at University of Oxford. Scholarships are open for the students who have previously studied at South African universities. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Scholarship provides a grant for living costs for the full duration of applicants fee liability for the agreed course. The application deadline is 9 or 23 January 2015, depending on your course.

Eligibility:
-Applicants should be applying to start a new graduate course at Oxford and must have previously studied at a South African university.
-Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
-Please ensure that you meet the selection criteria for your course (see the Courses page for more information).
-This scholarship is not open to candidates applying for postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma courses, part-time courses or non-matriculated courses. This scholarship is also not open to applications from candidates who hold deferred offers to start in 2015-16.
-If your scholarship is offered for a course lasting more than one year, the continuation of your scholarship each year is subject to an annual renewal process based upon satisfactory academic progress.

Scholarship Description: The Oppenheimer Fund Scholarships support students who have previously studied at South African universities. Harry Frederick Oppenheimer was a noted South African businessman, philanthropist and opponent of apartheid. In 1993 he endowed the Oppenheimer Fund at the University of Oxford. The scholarship will provide a grant for living costs (at least £13,863). Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

How to Apply: There is no separate application process for this scholarship: in order to be considered, you must submit your application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline for your course (9 January 2015 for Medical Sciences, Philosophy, Politics & International Relations and Computer Science; 23 January 2015 for all other subjects). If you do not apply as detailed above by the deadline, you will not be considered for this scholarship.
