Scholarship Description: We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to work in the area of Diagnosis and Fault-tolerant Control. The specific project is on developing fault diagnosis algorithms and distributed model-based predictive control techniques for fault-tolerant control (FTC) of large-scale buildings HVAC systems. This is a theoretical and practical oriented research aiming at improving energy-efficiency of large-scale commercial buildings within a recently launched European project. A 3-year PhD fellowship is available for this work. The post offers an exciting opportunity to tackle research and practical engineering problems within a cooperation-based framework and a stimulating research environment with state of the art experimental platforms.
