Description: It is open a PhD position on the topic “Quasi optical active antennas for mm-wave applications”. The PhD topic includes two different stages: firstly an active antenna configuration will be selected and then active components will be included to achieve power generation and, probably, beam scanning. Prototypes will be developed and tested.

I am a Bangladeshi National.I have done my graduation on Electronics and Communication Engineering from India.Currently
I am doing my M.Sc. Engg. on Electronic and Telecommunication
at North South University, Bangladesh bearing CGPA 3.53(90%).
I am undergoing a Research based project on OFDMA MIMO device under supervision of Prof. Dr. Miftahur Rahman(Ex-researcher, Bell Lab).
I also like to add that I am working as a junior engineer at ORASCOM Telecom Bangladesh Ltd. for optical fiber(Burial, OverHead, Sub-marine) implementation projects in Bangladesh.

There are two option to apply for the PhD for non students coming from outside Eu.
1. PhD funded by the Italian Foreign Ministry. In this case you should apply to the Foreign Ministry of your country specifying that you want to held a PhD program at the University of Calabria, Microwave Laboratory on the research topic Active Antennas. Your Foreign Ministry should send this application (written in English or in Italian) to the Italian Embassy of you country. Then there will be an official selection here in Italy. This application method does not require your presence here in Italy.
2. Another option is to apply for the PhD and come here in Italy for the selection. The deadline has not been yet fixed but it should be at mid November. Please contact me for this option.
