PhD Position: Adaptive Metal Centers for Small Molecule Activation
March 24, 2009Adaptive Metal Centers for Small Molecule Activation
Description : PhD Position in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry / Homogeneous Catalysis at the van ‘t Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Applications are invited for a PhD position in the group of Supramolecular & Homogeneous Catalysis, led by Professor Dr. Joost Reek. Overarching goal of the project is to introduce new concepts for adaptive ligands in homogeneous catalysis, with specific attention on approaches for the hydroamination of alkenes. The project will initially focus on synthesis, coordination chemistry and spectroscopy. Gradually, homogeneous catalysis and reaction kinetics will become important aspects. The research group is young, ambitious and well-known for new systems in homogeneous catalysis. Lab facilities are of excellent modern standards. The successful applicant should have excellent a qualifying degree in Chemistry with significant experience in synthetic (in)organic chemistry. Due to grant restrictions, residents of EU countries and associated states have preferential eligibility. Good knowledge of English is required. Please send applications to Dr. J.I. van der Vlugt by e-mail (j.i.vandervlugt@uva.nl), including cover letter, CV (with references) and research interests.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I wish to get admission for PhD program in your University. I have complemented my master degree here in Bangladesh (Rajshahi University). My thesis was “Preparation, characterization & anti-microbial study of Cu(II), Cb(II), Ni(II) complexes with cyanex-301″. Please send me some appropriate programme for me.
Thanks in advance for your kind cooperation.
Best Regards,
Pran Gopal Karmaker
