The department of Tumor Genetics and Immunogenetics at the MDC
invites applications for a PhD position
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a project focussing on the development of small-molecule therapeutics for chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The successful applicant will identify, characterize and optimize substances and test their therapeutic efficacy in animal models of chronic inflammation/autoimmunity.
The applicants should hold a degree in biochemistry, pharmacy, or related sciences. Strong interest in pharmacology, cell biology and immunology is required. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in animal models is advantageous, but not required. We offer great opportunities for scientific as well as professional development.
Salary: 50% E13 (TVöD), fixed-term employment contract
