The Ubiquitous Knowledge Processing (UKP) Lab has an opening for a PhD position in the field of “NLP-based quality assessment for e-Learning”. Recent trends towards community-based learning using informal, user-generated sources like Blogs and Wikis in free combination with formal content like course readers has provided new momentum to NLP techniques for automatic quality assessment, typically using machine learning. The applicant’s research will be conducted within an interdisciplinary Research Training Program (RTP) on E-Learning 2.0 funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
